Things are progressing well with Nita. Her mother came late Sunday night and has sat with her all these last 2 days, patiently and diligently giving her spoonfulls to eat. I guess Nita's mom had a REAL BAD first pregnancy - like this - and she and her husband learned how to work through it food-wise. It's doing the trick - Nita goes longer between wretchings and they're not a violent. We're going to try taking her off the nutrient IV's today (having those hooked into you is sickening enough!) Thank you for all of your prayers. It's been a rough week and a half, but I think this was the worst of it.
As for me - I'm realizing how important it is to have morning scripture study. I have done nightly scripture study with Brad, so I justified not having my morning personal scripture study. I've really missed it! So I have decided that since I'm in a HUGE habit of getting up, turning on the computer and checking everything out before I do anything in the morning, I'm going to add onto that HUGE habit by not being able to turn on my computer until AFTER I have read my scriptures. It worked great this morning - I was such a nervous wreck not having the computer on, that I promptly sat down and had a wonderful session in the scriptures! Ahhhh, they are so wonderful!!!!!
So because of this, Margo's poem bears repeating:
BREAK OF DAY
The serenity of the break of day
gives time to ponder, pause and pray.
The dawn renews resolves to endure
the Savior atoned, man can be pure.
Evidence each morn of weaknesses to face
With a promise, the humble qualify for grace.
Our thanks dear Lord for days on earth
To perfect, purify, and acknowledge our worth.
