THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To carry a grudge is like being stung to death by one bee.

THROWOUT FOR THE DAY: The game closet and coat closet has been cleaned. I've gotten rid of a lot of coats (mostly military type - they will be in the garage for 3 days before I take them to DI, if you boys think some might be yours.....)

Games I'm keeping: Scrabble, Cranium, Candyland, Yatzee, Backgammon, Pit, Uno, SkipBo, Water Works, Mill Borne, Perquackey, and Hokey 6.

Left over games: Which ones should I keep here for you to play when you visit? Which ones to you want? Let me know:
Compatability, Split Second, Touche, Stop Theif, Clue, Parcheese, Risk, Castle Risk, Trivial Pursuit, Simpsons, Balderdash, Scattergories, a second Rummicub, a second Backgammon, a second Mill Borne, a second Pit.
GAMES TO KEEP? GAMES FOR YOU? GAMES TO GO?

I can't wait to see the after pic. This before pic actually looks good compared to when I was still living at home. You couldn't even get the door closed back then.

Toss all of 'em; don't wait for kids to e-mail you unless they plan to take them to THEIR houses and mess up THEIR closets! :)

Ooooo, you're braver than I am!!! I don't think I can do that! For one thing, most of them aren't mine - I don't know where they came from. If it wasn't for that, they'd be out!

I'm with LDM! Toss the suckers. I am curious about the coats but can't make it up to Rexy-land yet. Call me about what coats are there. Way to go mom!

There's two green military coats, and the good old green hooded jacket that Sylvia gave us. I really never knew who it belonged to because Liz on down all wore it!
The rest are just junk coats.

Man, some of those are vintage! You could probably get a good deal of Mooohlah off of Ebay for them. Might want to enlist Zoey for this one.

Laura, I was thinking the same thing. My problem with ebay is that it just makes me hang onto the junk longer and it never sells.

Also, I don't EVER remember playing Clue and that box looks very vintage. It must me like 30 years old.

hmmm... I'd keep the scattegories and the compatibility games.

Everything else... TOSS!

especially the risk-associated games, so the boys will stop bugging us to play them with them every time we're there.

Or you could freecycle the other games...

Ben, you should keep those games in your closet and just bring them over when you want to play them.

Jennilyn said that she's the one who posted under Ben's name.

I know that Joe will want the Risk Games, but I don't think I want him to have them.

I know that if no one in the Family wants to claim Balderdash, my brother wants it. He's been trying to find that game to buy, he really wants it, so don't throw it out please.

come and get them! They're still in my living room because I've been too busy to do anything more with them. My closet looks great, my living room looks cluttered - but that's progress. I'm working every day this week, so I won't get around to dejunking the living room until friday.
