THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your religion is what you do when the sermon is over.

THROWOUT FOR THE DAY: Uh, do you know those bags that sheets and quilts come in from the store. You know, the nice ones with zippers and snaps? Yeah, I've held onto these for gillions of years, and never used one of them....YOU'RE OUT!!!!!!! OH, AND THE MAGAZINES IN THE BACKGROUND GOT THROWN OUT TODAY - EVEN THE EXTRA ONES PILING UP IN MY BASKET OF MAGAZINES. But I can't throw out the Ensigns - talk to me, people, talk to me. I've got a shelf full of them in the garage (back to 1972!!!!)

Ha ha ha ha. I was just thinking yesterday that I really ought to toss my plastic blanket bags that are just like these. If you can, I can. If I have to move I can always use garbage bags.

As for Ensigns, I am now able to throw out all but the General Conference editions, but I need to toss those too. They are online, no need to keep them.

I have a bunch too. Full of fabric I know I will never use. I should just throw it all out. Maybe I'll get around to it when we move.

Mom, I know it used to be the tradition to keep the ensigns for future use and study, but they are all online now, all the way back to 1971. You will never open up another ensign, because the search engine on LDS.org is great and it will find your talk in seconds.
Do it, throw out the ensigns.

I wouldn't be able to either. To me it would be like throwing away valuable vintage items. Sorry I'm no help. If you go to my blog and see the pic of my garage you'll understand.

Come on! Jennilyn's right--you know they are online, and you aren't an old fogey who has rejected computers! You are a hip, up-to-date and tech-savvy woman who doesn't need hard copies when you can get it online! Really, would the church have put them online if hard copies were more important for us to keep? NO!

Way to go, by the way--now I need to toss my old sheet bags, too! (though I had way less than you did, lol!)
